Lap-Tots
This program is for babies and their caregivers.  Lap-Tots mixes music, finger plays, stories and more in this interactive lap-sit program. 

Who: babies up to 2 1/2 years old and their caregiver
When: September - June
Time: 9:30am-10:00 or 10:30am-11am
Where: Panasonic meeting room
Requirements: proof of Secaucus residency


Rhyme Time - Starts the week of Sept. 16
This storytime is filled with stories, crafts, songs, games and lots of fun! 

Who: children 2 1/2 to 3 years old
When: Wednesday or Thursday
Time: 11:30-12:15pm
Where: Children's Department
Requirements: two proofs of Secaucus residency, birth certificate and immunization records


Extended Story Hour - Starts the week of Sept. 16
This drop-off program's purpose is to help children develop good listening, social and motor skills, gain separation from their caregivers and interact with their peers.

Who: children 3 to 3 1/2 years old
When: Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday
Time: 9:30-11:00am
Where: Children's Department
Requirements: two proofs of Secaucus residency, birth certificate and immunization records


Children's Book Clubs
A monthly drop-off program geared towards school age children either in the 2nd and 3rd grades or the 4th and 5th grades.

Book Club: Book Worms
Who: children in the 2nd and 3rd grades
When: First Wednesday of most months, Oct-Dec, Feb-May
Time: 4:00-4:30pm (may run longer)
Where: Children's Department
Requirements: Must be a Secaucus resident and child must be registered one month prior. Children are required to read one book of their choice and must bring their book with them.


Book Club: Book Buddies
Who: children in the 4th and 5th grades
When: First Wednesday of most months, Oct-Dec, Feb.-May
Time: 7:00pm-7:30pm(may run longer)
Where: Children's Department
Requirements: Must be a Secaucus resident and child must be registered one month prior via online.

Chess Club - Starts in September
Instructed by Shawn Moss, our chess club is open to any child over the age of 5. Chess is a great game for improving your thinking and creativity skills. Children under 6 must have a parent present at all times.

Who: children 5 and up
When: 1st and 2nd Thursday of most months (Oct.-May)
Time: 3:30-4:30pm
Where: Children's Department
Requirements: Registration is required only for new players or just learning. We ask that you arrive on time to ensure matches start on time!


Gaming Day
Weekly gaming event for children. Library will provide board games.
Who: children 5 and up
When: Thursdays

Spanish Story Time - First and Third, (Sept.-Dec.)
Tuesdays
4:30-5:15pm
Join Andrea Tropeano, as she presents an enrich program with story readings, songs, and vocabulary lessons all in Spanish! This program is open to any child.

4 and 5 year old storytime - (Sept.-Mar.)
A bi-monthly storytime event featuring stories, songs and age appropriate activities.
